Data Deletion
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Instructions for disconnecting Meta or Google from HeyThere and requesting deletion of provider-derived data. See also Privacy and Terms.
1. Overview
HeyThere Marketing (“HeyThere”) provides marketing services through https://www.heythere360.com and the Brain portal at https://app.heythere360.com.
This page explains how to disconnect Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or Google, how to request deletion of provider-derived data HeyThere stores, and how to check status when Meta issues a confirmation code.
Deletion of HeyThere-held data does not delete or manage your business email account. HeyThere does not host, migrate, or administer client email (MX/SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
2. What Disconnecting Does
Disconnecting Meta or Google inside HeyThere stops new access with those stored credentials. HeyThere clears or invalidates the connection tokens for that provider and will not publish or sync through that connection until you reconnect.
Disconnecting does not delete content already published to Facebook, Instagram, or Google Business Profile. It does not delete your Google or Meta accounts. It does not delete unrelated Business Brain records, website projects, or Google-derived data when you only disconnect Meta (and vice versa).
3. How to Disconnect Inside HeyThere
Sign in to the Brain portal at https://app.heythere360.com.
Open Connect (Connections) for your business.
Choose Meta or Google and use Disconnect. Confirm when prompted.
You can reconnect later by starting OAuth again and approving the permissions HeyThere requests.
4. Remove HeyThere From Provider Account Settings
Meta: Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → remove HeyThere. You may also send a data deletion request from removed apps (this triggers HeyThere’s Meta deletion callback when configured).
Google: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions — remove HeyThere access.
Revoking access in the provider also stops new API access. Prefer also disconnecting inside HeyThere so stored tokens are cleared promptly.
5. How to Request Deletion of Provider-Derived Data
Option A — Meta in-product deletion: after removing the app in Facebook Apps and websites, use Send Request. Meta calls HeyThere’s secure deletion callback; HeyThere returns a confirmation code and status URL.
Option B — Email request: write to hello@heythere360.com or bryan@heythere360.com with subject “Privacy Request” or “Data Deletion.”
Include: the email on your HeyThere account, your business name, which provider(s) the request covers (Meta, Google, or both), and whether you want connection-only deletion or a broader privacy deletion.
We verify identity using the account email and reasonable follow-up questions before processing.
6. What Data Is Deleted
For a Meta deletion request processed by HeyThere: encrypted Meta OAuth credentials and page/Instagram tokens for matched Meta connections; Meta connection status marked disconnected; queued Meta publish jobs cancelled; Meta-derived Facebook/Instagram performance snapshots tied to those connections removed or irreversibly cleared.
For Google disconnect / Google-scoped deletion requests: Google OAuth tokens for that connection are cleared; Google publishing and review sync for that connection stop.
HeyThere may retain sanitized audit records (timestamps, action type, confirmation code) required for security and compliance — these do not include access tokens or signed Meta payloads.
7. What May Be Retained
Business Brain facts, website content, invoices, contracts, consult notes, and other service records that are not Meta- or Google-derived connection data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy for legitimate business, tax, and legal purposes.
Google data is not deleted when only a Meta deletion runs (and Meta data is not deleted when only Google is disconnected), unless your request clearly covers both.
Content already live on Facebook, Instagram, or Google remains under your control on those platforms.
Transactional notifications (approvals, security, billing) are not email hosting and are unrelated to deleting a customer’s mailbox.
8. Acknowledgment and Processing Time
Meta callback deletions are acknowledged immediately with a confirmation code. Processing is usually completed shortly after the request; status may show “processing” briefly before “completed.”
Email privacy requests are acknowledged within a commercially reasonable time (and within any period required by law). Deletion is not always instant when manual verification is required.
9. Checking Deletion Status
If Meta provided a confirmation code, open the status URL returned with the request, or visit https://app.heythere360.com/meta/deletion-status?code=YOUR_CODE (replace YOUR_CODE).
The status page shows whether the request is processing, completed, or needs attention. Unknown or guessed codes do not reveal whether an account exists.
For email requests without a Meta confirmation code, reply to our acknowledgment email or write to hello@heythere360.com with your request reference.
